Alisa Bishop

Alisa Bishop is the Founder & CEO of Safe Start Child LLC. She is a child safety expert with over 10 years of experience professionally baby proofing homes.
She attended Tulane University, majored in Sociology, and loves solving problems and helping people. Alisa lives in Bethesda, MD with her chef husband, two daughters, and dog, Marley. They enjoy listening to Taylor Swift in the car together and taking vacations to the beach. Her ideal day includes doing crossword puzzles, taking on yet another home improvement design and organizing project and date night in a new outfit. Alisa is proficient with power tools, not afraid to climb onto a roof, and can install baby gates in her sleep.

Molly Lavoie

Molly grew up on the beaches of Florida, and moved to Washington, DC in 2017. She is an economist, having earned her master’s degree while raising two young children.
Becoming a parent inspired Molly to get into the child safety business. She owned a baby proofing company for 6 years prior to joining Safe Start in the Spring of 2023. Since then, she has been working alongside Alisa to help make homes safer. She is excited to share her knowledge with families around the country to ensure a safe start for every child. Molly is into astronomy, and frequently takes her children on adventures with the telescope. She loves to boulder and hopes to test her skills at Joshua Tree National Park.
